A projection-based AR game of shuffleboard. One of a variety of game boards is projected onto the floor. Users push virtual pucks with a real shuffleboard cue. The cue is also used to interact with game menus. Realistic physics make the game very intuitive to play.

The only modification to the cue is the addition of an infrared LED near the pushing surface. This allows the cue's position and velocity to be tracked using an infrared camera. Infrared was chosen over visible light tracking to isolate the cue from the projected image.

Developed for the HAX Lab at Hornall Anderson. Concept by Halli Thiel.
